I can't find the ideal villa for my preferred holiday dates; can you help?

Almost certainly! Although a large selection of holiday villas can be found on this website there are others that are not. If you would like to see more villas or something different, we have probably got just what you are looking for. Please contact us for some more options.

Do you cover other areas, besides the Algarve, Lanzarote and Majorca?

Not as a rule, although we may do in the future. We currently concentrate on villa rentals, apartments and hotels predominantly in the Algarve, Lanzarote and Majorca because our specialist knowledge of the areas, the people, the language and the properties themselves helps us to offer you the best service.

Are all the private villas available from Sun-hat Villas?

Most, but not all, of the Vale do Lobo properties are privately owned. This means that each has its own character, because it is furnished according to the taste of the owner.

I have planned an early arrival at the villa, will this be OK?

You will usually be able to gain access to you villa shortly after noon on the first day, however the official time is 4.00pm. We take into account your arrival time when we plan the servicing of each villa.

I have planned a late return flight, will I be able to stay late in my villa?

The official time for check-out is 10.00am however you may stay later if there is no arrival on your last day. This must be agreed in advance. There is normally no extra charge for this.

How do I collect my villa keys?

This depends on the arrangements we have for that destination and villa. You will either be met at the airport and handed your keys, or you will collect them at our local agent's office; alternatively you will collect them at the villa. You will be advised both verbally and in writing after or at time of booking.

Will a Sun-hat representative/agent come to our villa?

We respect your independence and will not interrupt your privacy unless you contact us. We will provide you with contact telephone numbers for our local agents or representative should you need them. This will include out of hours contact numbers. Sun-hat also has a 24 hour duty number available to our customers.

What is the best way of getting from the airport to my accommodation?

This depends on what you prefer. You may want to rent a vehicle which can be collected at the airport on arrival, or you may prefer to take a taxi. Ask us and we can advise the journey times and costs. We also provide clear easy to follow maps.

Do all villas available through Sun-hat include a pool and what is the average size?

Many villas do have a private pool and others, especially the townhouse villas in Vale do Lobo, have the use of a resort pool. Pools vary in size and shape and some include heating, if required. We try to include pool dimensions in the list of holiday villas. Where pool sizes are shown for irregular shapes, the maximum is shown.

Do most villas include air conditioning?

Some of the villas do include air conditioning; you can check this facility on the villa list.

Is the holiday price you quote me when I book subject to change?

As soon as we have issued a confirmation invoice, the cost of your villa, apartment or hotel accommodation is fixed. There are no hidden extra costs or surcharges.

Can you send me a brochure?

We can send you a "smart" brochure, with a focus on your individual tastes and travel dates - so we do the preliminary searching for you. Alternatively, call or e-mail us to book or find out more.

Can I book a villa on line?

Yes. First telephone or email us to confirm availability. When we have confirmed that your chosen villa is available, simply complete the booking form and pay your deposit.

What is the payment schedule?

The deposit is usually 25% and the balance of your cost is due 10 weeks prior to your holiday.

Our toddler will be accompanying us; what provision is made for young children?

Accommodation is based on 2 people per bedroom. In many properties, an extra bed or cot may be added at a small additional cost. In most cases, children's high chairs are also available at a weekly charge, and should be ordered at the time of booking. The very young should be supervised, as there are always risks.

Are telephones available and how are calls charged?

Some villas do have telephones, and some don't. If your villa has a telephone you may use this after payment of a telephone deposit. Your calls are metered and charged according to usage at the rate for that villa. These costs may be settled locally, or on return to the UK, as individually agreed.

Can you guarantee that there won't be any building work in progress?

In all resorts, in all countries, there is new building work taking place at various times. However, we take steps to monitor this and advise you if any building work affects your villa, apartment or hotel.
