La Manga Club
Discover La Manga Club
Costa Calida marks the spot for a real Spanish treasure - La Manga Club.
Here, in the beautiful, sun-soaked province of Murcia, a unique holiday haven stretches out across 1,400
acres of countryside. La Manga Club is a select group of 5-star communities with
luxury villas and apartments and the magnificent Hyatt Regency Hotel. The whole development is similar in
size to Monaco - not a bad comparison, when you consider the exclusive nature of this luxury resort. The
position too is idyllic, overlooking as it does the Mar Menor, a salt water lagoon separated from the clear
waters of the Mediterranean by 22 kilometres of golden sand, which is why La Manga is known as
"paradise between two seas".
Luxury villas in La Manga
The range and quality of accommodation at La Manga Club is hard to match. From the privacy and freedom of
a luxury villa or chic penthouse apartment, to the sumptuous decadence of a 5 Star hotel,
Sun-hat will help you to pick the option that best suits your needs. Maid service
or regular villa cleaning, plus a change of linen and towels are included, so it really is a holiday for
everyone, whichever type of accommodation you choose.
Getting there and getting around
The Costa Calida is no more than a three hour flight from most European cities, making La Manga Club a
very attractive destination. It is now easy to book "flight only" seats with a number of
airlines. By booking your flight independent of your accommodation, you have the
freedom to reserve the villa, apartment or hotel that suits you best. Our villas in La Manga
gives you a wide choice from which to choose.
The nearest airport is in Murcia, a small, friendly terminal favoured by seasoned travellers to the
area, especially families. Murcia Airport is just 25km from La Manga Club, a car journey of
approximately twenty minutes. Alternatively, there is Alicante Airport which is 75 miles to the north and
takes about an hour by car. Once you have reached your destination, you will find that a hire car will
help you to get the very best from your stay, because there is so much to see and do.
Weather on the 'warm coast'
The Costa Calida, or 'warm coast' is so named because of its mild Mediterranean climate. La Manga Club is
located on the lower slopes of the Murcian hills and is sheltered by higher, mountainous terrain, creating
a much drier, sunnier climate than the surrounding area, and boasting more than 320 days of sunshine per
year.
In summer, a temperature of 30°C (86°F) or above is usual, whilst in winter, the average is a
comfortable 18°C (64°F).The situation is further enhanced by the existence of Murcia’s salt lakes,
which have the effect of reducing the humidity. Together these factors are acknowledged as giving this
part of Spain one of the healthiest (and indeed one of the most delightful) climates in the world.
Everything under the sun
In recognition of the resort’s superb recreational facilities, La Manga Club has won award after award.
Just about every imaginable sporting activity is right here to be enjoyed; for a start, there are three
championship golf courses, a 28 course tennis centre, a professionally acclaimed football academy, two
regulation Club Turf cricket pitches, plus a plethora of indoor and outdoor swimming pools – La Manga does
nothing by halves!
Choice really is the keyword, which means there’s something for every age and taste. You may like to
investigate the network of hiking and cycling routes, taking in the magnificent landscapes of the region,
at a pace to suit you. In contrast, a visit to the Spa La Manga Club opens up a whole glorious range of
health and beauty facilities; you can tone up in the large gymnasium, swim in the 25 metre indoor pool,
linger in a jacuzzi, sauna or steam room - or simply switch off, relax and be pampered in one of the 13
treatment rooms and deluxe spa suites. In fact, with everything from lawn bowls to squash, horse riding
to go-carting and a whole range of water sports, choosing what to do may be your only problem.
And when the sun goes down...
If you like to party into the small hours, the La Manga Club experience will probably include a few visits
to the nightclubs, casinos or some late night entertainment in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, but there is also a
wide variety of bars and restaurants to cater for couples, families and friends. Sample the delicious
Murcian cuisine or go Indian, French, Italian perhaps – the world is your oyster and so is La Manga Club. If
you prefer to 'eat in', villas and apartments in the resort have luxury fitted kitchens and BBQ terraces -
in fact everything you need, except the food and drink which you will find in the conveniently located
supermarkets and shops. Imagine savouring a glass of wine and a good meal, at the edge of your pool on a balmy
summer’s evening. Perfect.
