Overview
Casa das Pedras is a magnificent, top of the range five bedroom villa located in a gently elevated position overlooking the beautiful local countryside and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The owner’s personal touches and attention to detail are evident throughout this luxurious and elegant property. With a tennis court, games room and literally stunning pool area set amongst landscaped gardens this is an outstanding villa and one not to be missed.
The property is protected by an electric entry gate. There is a garage with space for two cars and additional parking space for a further four cars. The property has central heating and air conditioning throughout. ‘Casa das Pedras’ means ‘house of the stones’ and this is evident by the many quality interior stone fittings throughout the house. The villa’s entrance hall is on the ground floor, alongside the kitchen, split-level living/ dining room, all five bedrooms, cloakroom and games room. The villa has a lovely open plan feel to it, designed so a number of the rooms open out onto the terraces.
Living Areas
The bright and airy air-conditioned living/ dining room features a flat screen television with satellite channels, DVD player, CD player and Playstation 2 console.
The spacious games room has doors that open out directly onto the pool area, a pool table, table football machine, flat screen TV with satellite channels, DVD player and comfy chairs.
The kitchen is fully equipped for ten guests and the complete inventory of appliances include a microwave oven, dishwasher and an American style fridge freezer. A separate laundry room on the first floor ‘tower’ houses the washing machine, as well as a large sun terrace.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
The master bedroom is a double room with television and en-suite bathroom with full sized spa bath. Bedroom two is a double room with en-suite shower room. Bedroom three is a twin room with en-suite bathroom. Bedroom four is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and doors leading directly to the poolside terrace. Bedroom five is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and doors leading directly to the terrace. All of the bedrooms are air-conditioned.
Outside Space
The beautifully manicured gardens, lawns and tennis court surround the elevated pool area on a 1500 sqm plot. The pool area is surely one of the best of its kind, with fabulous views far reaching views, spacious sun and dining terraces and an extremely useful summer kitchen- complete with a sink, grill and fridge to compliment the in-built barbecue. The swimming pool measures 12 metres x 6 metres, and is 2 metres in depth at the deep end. The pool can be heated for an additional weekly charge and must be booked in advance. There is also a heated children’s pool which measures 4 metres x 4 metres.
Pool safety fencing is available free of charge for the adult pool but must be requested at the time of booking for all 2013 bookings.
Location
The villa is located in the peaceful countryside location of Malhadais, 2 kms outside of Boliqueime and 10 kms from Paderne. In both Boliqueime and Paderne a selection of local bars and restaurants can be found as well as small local supermarkets. The nearest golf course is 16kms away and the closest beach, at Falesia, is 14 kms away or a 20 minute drive. Close to the beach at Falesia are the popular resorts of Vilamoura, Olhos d’Agua and Albufeira. The airport at Faro is 35kms from Casa das Pedras.
Other Items
Included in the price of the villa rental is maid service 6 days per week (except for Sundays) towel service 2 x weekly and bed linen 1 x weekly. You will need to bring your own equipment for the tennis court. Please let us know upon booking if any of the party will be celebrating a birthday or anniversary during the holiday.
