Overview
Villa Alice is a pretty little house that stands beside colourful terraced gardens on a gently elevated position in central Carvoeiro. The villa's impressive swimming pool is surrounded by a low whitewashed wall, creating a delightful sun trap. Villa Alice benefits from a superb central resort location- within a very short walk are an excellent variety of Portuguese and international restaurants, family bars, the town square and of course the lovely town beach, which is just a two minute walk away!
This is a charming house with traditional furnishings, built on one level. A cosy living room has patio doors opening onto an outside terrace and is adjacent to the kitchen. Two double bedrooms have window views towards the town and share a bathroom, while the twin bedroom features an en suite bathroom. The property has a safety deposit box.
Living Areas
The living/ dining room has comfortable seating surrounding the traditional log burning fireplace. A round dining table can seat up to six persons and double patio doors lead directly to the poolside terrace. The television has a DVD player.
The kitchen is fully equipped and appliances comprise of a fridge freezer, electric oven, four gas hobs, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, microwave and dishwasher. There is a breakfast table and chairs and a separate utility area to the side of the kitchen houses the washing machine.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Bedrooms one and two are double bedrooms with double wardrobe space. The shared bathroom is bright and airy with a full sized bath with shower over. Bedroom three is positioned off the living/ dining room and is a spacious twin bedroom with a separate dressing area, double wardrobes and an en suite bathroom.
Outside Space
The property is protected by metal gates and there is suffcient parking on the driveway for two cars. Stairs lead up to a private roof terrace which has views down through the village all the way to the sea. To the side of the house there is a traditional charcoal barbecue and stone table, near to the poolside terrace.
A real feature of Villa Alice is the large swimming pool and spacious poolside terrace which is furnished with plenty of sun loungers and patio furniture. The pool and terrace are a real sun trap which will delight sunbathers, or alternatively there are shaded terrace areas to the side of the villa. The swimming pool measures 9 metres x 4 metres and is 1 metre in depth at the shallow end and 2.20 metres at the deep end. The pool is accessed by four gentle steps. The pleasant views from the poolside are of the surrounding hills, villas and gardens overlooking the village of Carvoeiro.
Location
The location of Villa Alice is quite simply fantastic! Directly opposite the entrance to the villa's approach road you will find an international restaurant, hairdresser and a family bar with internet services. Just around the corner from these facilities, all within a few hundred metres, are a couple of bars, two coffee shops, a traditional artesanto pottery shop, a take away restaurant, wine merchant and the village post office.
You can walk to the lovely Carvoeiro beach in a couple of minutes, and on the way you will pass numerous bars, shops, restaurants and the renowned town square where you have a variety of options at your disposal, including Portuguese, seafood and international restaurants; a tapas bar; a lively and bustling cafe; an ice cream parlour and much more. Carvoeiro beach is one of the Algarve's finest- set in a beautiful bay with golden sands and the famous and distinctive cliffs in the background.
