Villa Oceano Azul is a quite simply magnificent villa that is situated in a spectacular coastal location in Vale de Lobo, where one of Portugal's most picturesque and acclaimed golf courses meets one of the Algarve's renowned beautiful beaches. Oceano Azul is one of the Algarve's outstanding properties- slightly separated from the rest of Vale do Lobo, and situated right by the sea.
Only recently completed, this interior designer's dream features furnishings and equipment of excellent quality throughout. The central beach theme is enhanced by the clever use of antique American Oak flooring and the ceiling mounted tropical fans. The combination of muted wall colors alongside the understated accessories and crisp beach fabrics are the perfect backdrop to this Hamptons themed home.
Living Areas
The kitchen is of the high standard associated with the world renowned Mark Wilkinson kitchens and is fully fitted with Miele and Wolf appliances. Designed in an appropriate New England style, the kitchen also has a wall-mounted espresso and a separate preparation area that can be closed when you have guests.
The kitchen leads perfectly into the open planned reception area which houses a dining table seating 10 persons and a very relaxed formal lounge area. The airy double height hall gives these rooms a wonderful sense of space. The German designed fold back glazed units open up the entire space achieving a very clever indoor / outdoor feeling to the entire ground floor of the property.
The formal reception rooms mentioned earlier are only two of the five available living spaces in the property. A separate ground floor TV room complete with flat screen television is a perfect escape for adults or children. The house has a full sports and UK news package in all rooms. The lower ground floor entertainment room is fully equipped with a Blue Ray DVD player, Wii, Play Station and again a full satellite package. Also on the downstairs level is the fifth bedroom, which benefits from natural light and has its own en suite shower room.
The house is equipped with an exceptionally high specification music and entertainment system including an I-pod doc for personal music choices. This system also houses CCTV security, which is linked to the main security at Vale do Lobo.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
All 5 bedrooms are fully air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms and there is satellite TV in 4 of the bedrooms. There are two bedrooms at the ground floor level, two at first floor and the fifth is in the lower ground previously mentioned.
Bedroom one on the ground floor is a guest room situated opposite the living room with doors to the side of the house, twin beds, a walk in shower and its own small dressing area. The second guest bedroom on the ground floor has a king size bed and doors leading to the garden and pool terrace.
On the first floor, the exceptional master suite is beautifully decorated in tones of grey is a totally private space encompassing a king sized bed, en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, standing bath and separate toilet. There is also a separate office with full internet, phone & fax facilities and a large walk-in wardrobe.
The fourth bedroom, also on the first floor, has a double bed and en suite shower room. The external staircases, from both upstairs bedrooms, provide access to the pool without having to go through the house. The terraces attached to these two bedrooms provide elevated terraces with 270 degrees views of the Algarve Coastline and mountains to the rear. Absolutely amazing!
Outside Space
The Italian designed Gervassoni external furniture on the various terraces at ground and first floor level provide those renting the property superb external spaces in which to relax and appear to be a natural extension of the interior design. The heated 10 metres long pool with electric cover is surrounded on four sides by idyllic relaxation and dining areas. The pool pavilion has sensational views to the beach and provides a covered dining area comfortably seating 10, with a flat screen TV and gas fire. The BBQ area is discreetly positioned to the rear of this pavilion.
Location
Within walking distance of the lively Praça, which is about 500 metres away along the beach. A mere 50 metres stroll across the fairway takes you to the golden sands with 180 degree views stretching from Faro to Albufeira. For those who enjoy walking on the beach, this really is the perfect house!
Other Items
Maid service is five times per week, Monday to Friday. Pool heating is available at a weekly supplement. Google Earth is currently displaying an older image of the area whilst the villa was under construction.
