Overview
Villa Botanica is a lovely holiday villa sleeping 6 persons located in an impressive estate situated just above the lively town of Greve. The owners, a couple with a deep love for the Tuscan countryside, have recently restored the property to a high standard, maintaining its original style both inside and outside. The interiors of the villa have been enriched with beautiful decorations, stylish fabrics and comfortable features. Outside is a private garden, a covered terrace with dining area, lounges, and a fabulous pool area with a spectacular view.
Living Areas
The villa is situated in a little group of houses and is semi-detached; however the property is very private with the delightful pool area on a separate level to the main house. Enter through a large French window door into a spacious living room with fireplace. The living room has a TV (BBC World News is currently the only English language channel) and DVD player, CD player and there is DSL wireless internet connection. The kitchen has a dining table for 8 persons and is fully equipped with appliances including a refrigerator, American coffee maker, oven, stove top with five gas burners, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and high quality pots and pans. There is also a laundry room with washing machine, a small storage room with safe and a studio with wireless Internet access.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
All of the bedrooms in Villa Botanica are air conditioned and this is included in the rate. There are screens at all of the bedroom-windows, several additional fans in the house and hairdryers are provided. On the ground floor there is a guest cloakroom and a single bedroom with en suite bathroom with tub. Upstairs there is a single bedroom and a double bedroom with access to the garden through a glass door that share the adjacent shower room. The second double bedroom has a TV and en suite shower room.
Outside Space
Outside, the main façade features the manicured garden with flowers, trees and a lovely covered terrace with dining table. A few steps down from the terrace there is the beautiful chlorine-free pool with slightly salted water which measures approximately 17 x 7 metres and has solar powered heating. There is no extra weekly charge for the solar powered pool heating which will heat the pool by a few degrees; however this form of pool heating is dependent on the season and number of sunshine hours. Solar pool heating must be requested in advance. Alternatively gas pool heating is also available for a weekly supplemental charge, please enquire for further details.
The stunning far reaching countryside views of the vineyards and Panzano can be enjoyed from both the main terrace and the poolside terrace, and there is a shower room next to the pool. There is a covered parking area within the fenced property.
Location
The closest village to Villa Botanica is the lovely village of Greve, located just 3 km away. Panzano in Chianti is also a short drive away. In both villages you will find a wide selection of excellent local restaurants and amenities. Florence is 25kms away, and Florence airport is 1 hour away.
In addition to the stunning scenery and the tranquil, relaxing environment that the Tuscany region affords, there is also plenty to do with your family and friends! Practice your Italian cooking, wine tastings in the fabulous Chianti vineyards, walking in the beautiful hills and countryside, swimming in your private pool, bicycle rides, tennis, golf, visits to the beautiful local villages, and not forgetting trips to the magnificent cities of Florence and Siena, both of which are steeped in history and tradition.
Other Items
Rates include electricity, water, use of swimming pool, cooking gas, towels and bed linen with a mid week change, pool towels, mid week cleaning of 3 hours, heating for the swimming pool (solar panels), air conditioning and final cleaning. Heating at Villa Botanica is also included in the rental price, if required.
Additional services payable to the property manager are extra maid service, dinners upon request, driver, baby sitting, massages, telephone bills, fire wood, gas heating for pool (upon request). The housekeeper of the villa will be happy to provide a foodpack for you upon arrival, the price will be the hourly cost of the maid to do the shopping, plus the receipt for the groceries. Please advise us of the list of groceries you would like to have when you arrive.
The breakage deposit for this villa is 300 Euro and must be paid locally to the property manager in cash.
One of the great holiday experiences when staying at a villa in Tuscany is to have a private dinner cooked for you by a professional Italian cook. It has to be said that Italian home cooking really is second to none, with the use of tasty seasonal and local ingredients and complimented by a glass (or two!) of the fine local Chianti wines. You can spend many a fine evening relaxing at your villa with your family and friends, enjoying the excellent food and the stunning scenery long into the Summer evenings.
