Overview
Dimore Settignano is an historical estate offering two houses and a barn which are sitauted in a classical Tuscan setting on the grounds of a famous Renaissance villa, renowned for its Italian style gardens. The unique location of the estate, in the hills just outside of Florence, means guests can enjoy the countryside and olive groves while the attractions of Florence can be easily reached by public bus or taxi. The estate offers the 3 bedroom house 'Limone', the 2 bedroom house 'Oliva' and the 1 bedroom barn 'Fienile' which can be rented for parties up to 12 guests on a self catering basis with a welcome dinner on the first evening included.
Once upon a time these houses were used for storing lemon trees during the chilly winter months and olives during the harvest in November. Now the spacious buildings are converted into the most comfortable and contemporary country homes with an impressing balance between modern and traditional interiors. The village of Settignano and the bus stop for the public bus to Florence are within walking distance of the estate, which makes the location very convenient for guests without a hire car.
Booking options- You can rent Limone individually (for parties of up to 6 guests) and will share the swimming pool facilities with the guests of Fienile & Oliva if they are occupied at the same time.
Or you can rent Fienile & Oliva together (for parties up to 6 guests) and will share the swimming pool facilities with the guests of Limone if it is occupied at the same time.
Alternatively, for parties of up to 12 guests you can book all three homes together- Limone, Oliva & Fienile, and enjoy exclusive use of the property and swimming pool facilities.
Living Areas
All living rooms and bedrooms in each of the properties benefit from air conditioning. There is DSL wireless internet connection and satellite TV in each home. The satellite channels feature a few news channels and entertainment channels in English, and a wide range of movie channels that can be viewed in English.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
The estate offers three independent homes. The one bedroom barn Fienile for 2 guests, the two bedroom house Oliva for 4 guests, and the three bedroom house Limone for 6 guests. Fienile can only be rented in combination with Oliva to make a 3 bedroom rental for 6 guests.
Outside Space
Each of the properties enjoys an independent, furnished terrace and there are further exterior common areas on the estate. The views from the estate are unique, you can look out onto the countryside and olive groves and also down onto the city centre of Florence. The pleasant swimming pool area is surrounded by olive groves and the pool measures approximately 7 metres x 14 metres. The poolside terrace is furnished with sunloungers and there is a shaded terrace area.
Location
Within easy walking distance to the little town of Settignano, which is 500 metres away. These homes are ideal for sightseeing and shopping in Florence – the public bus is in walking distance to the property and takes you to the city centre of Florence with its world famous landmarks and restaurants in 20 minutes.

Other Items
Rates include electricity; water; a daily cleaning service of 2 hours a day; towels changed twice a week; bed linen changed once a week; welcome dinner for the first evening (including wine and water); shopping and ingredients for the first breakfast; heating (if required); firewood; internet access; air conditioning; final cleaning; pool towels.
The following services are available upon request and are payable locally:- A personal cook for dinners at your villa; additional cleaning service upon request (15 Euro per hour); grocery shopping service; yoga teacher. The housekeeper of the villa will be happy to provide a foodpack for you upon arrival, the price will be the hourly cost of the maid to do the shopping, plus the receipt for the groceries. Please advise us of the list of groceries you would like to have when you arrive.
The breakage deposit for Oliva & Fienile is 1500 Euro which can be paid pre-departure by credit card. The breakage deposit for Limone is 1500 Euro which can also be paid pre-departure by credit card. With regret, unfortunately the homes are not suitable for children under the age of 8 year old.

One of the great holiday experiences when staying at a villa in Tuscany is to have a private dinner cooked for you by a professional Italian cook. It has to be said that Italian home cooking really is second to none, with the use of tasty seasonal and local ingredients and complimented by a glass (or two!) of the fine Chianti wines. You can spend many a fine evening relaxing at your villa with your family and friends, enjoying the excellent food and the stunning scenery long into the Summer evenings.

Built on one level, Oliva sleeps 4 people and consists of a spacious living room with satellite TV, fireplace and exit to the terrace; fully equipped kitchen with appliances including a fridge freezer, gas hobs, electric oven, dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster; dining area; 2 double bedrooms (one king size, one queen size bed); two en-suite bathrooms, one shower room and one bathroom with separate dressing area; laundry room with washing machine / dryer and storage.
The living room of Oliva overlooks an elegantly furnished patio with outside sitting area and dining table perfect for al-fresco dining.
Accommodation details for Fienile:-
Fienile is a converted barn for 2 persons, with interiors of a traditional and rustic style. Built on two floors and consisting of a double bedroom with queen size bed; walk-in closet with washing machine; en-suite bathroom with shower; sitting room with satellite TV, fireplace and kitchen corner with appliances including gas hobs, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave).
