Overview
Villa Silvia in Vale do Lobo is a uniquely styled five bedroom detached property. This villa is one of the resort’s original large villas, which has been recently renovated in an ultra-modern design whilst retaining a wonderful home-from-home quality. This property may be rented as a four or five bedroom in mid and low season only. Bookings in July and August are only as a five bedroom property.
Living Areas
Entrance to the property is via a driveway arriving at the front of the house. Double wooden doors lead deceptively to an attractive inner courtyard, featuring a cobbled floor and large terracotta pots with trees and plants. The main door to the house sits at the end of this courtyard and leads into a long hallway. To the right, this corridor wraps around the courtyard where the majority of the sleeping accommodation is situated. The main living area lies to the left side of the front door. The split-level, open-plan lounge and diner has a satellite wide-screen TV (with Freeview Channels), comfortable sofas and wood-burning fireplace. The dining room features a large domed ceiling and French-style doors that lead to a further indoor/outdoor dining area with metal shutters, allowing an al fresco dining experience with overhead shelter. The modern minimalist kitchen is fully-fitted with high quality units and appliances including an American-style fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave and coffee maker. The kitchen features stylish granite work surfaces and a central island for cooking. Patio doors lead to the garden from both the dining room and kitchen.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The master double bedroom is furnished attractively in gold and cream. The room benefits from an extremely smart, modern en-suite bathroom with walk-in glass shower, double sinks and a stand alone bath tub in the centre of the room. Bedrooms two and three are twin bedrooms situated along this corridor. Bedroom two is only suitable for children and has a bright colour scheme with white wrought iron beds and an en-suite bathroom. Twin bedroom three is decorated in a nautical theme and has a large marble fireplace. This bedroom shares a bathroom with bedroom four, which is a double bedroom. The final double bedroom lies to the left of the front door; the room overlooks the pretty courtyard and features a black wrought iron bed, large ornate wardrobe and en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. There is also a guest cloakroom. All bedrooms are air conditioned.
Outside Space
The beautiful hedged garden with sweeping lawns, trees and plants, surrounds the villa and offers many spaces to relax. A bright hammock swings from the trees and comfortable large wicker furniture and a gas barbeque are located on the patio next to the pool. The swimming pool measures approximately 9 x 6m and can be heated for a supplemental charge (due to design constraints a pool cover is provided for the centre section only). Stepping stones lead across the shallow channel that surrounds the main, black-tiled pool to a wooden sunbathing island with loungers.
