Located within a 20 minute drive from the prestigious golf resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, we are very proud to present Casa Na Colina- the House on the Hill. This beautiful villa nestles in a quiet and exclusive residential area of Vale Formoso in the hills immediately above the bustling little town of Almancil where shops, restaurants and an abundance of bars are available. Situated approximately 8k from the beaches at Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, the villa has fabulous distant sea views stretching along the Algarve coast.
The villa sits centrally in 3,500 square metres of luxuriant gardens where mature palms, olive and pomegranate trees line the driveway. Access is through remote controlled electric gates, the calcada driveway rising in a gentle curve to the front entrance where the Moorish influence of the villa is evident.
Casa Na Colina has wi-fi internet and air conditioning in the bedrooms- included in the rental rates. The house is beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable, and is equipped and maintained to a very high standard.
This property sleeps a maximum of 8 adults and up to an additional three children in the first interconnecting master bedroom.
The split level ground floor comprises of the entrance reception room with fireplace; the living room leading to the external covered terrace; the dining room; adjacent kitchen with doors to the BBQ dining terrace and the utility room.
The living room is furnished with settees, marble tables and Persian rugs which compliment the space and openness of the room. Guests can watch cable TV or DVDs on the 55" TV, listen to music, surf the web or read in front of the log fire. Floor to ceiling windows stretching the full width of the room look out over the pool and across to the Atlantic Ocean in the distance. The large covered external terrace extends the drawing room, where you can relax on the comfortable sofas whilst enjoying the sun overlooking the pool.
The hexagonal dining room has classic Portuguese furnishings with a marble table seating 8 persons and a chandelier centre-piece. The spacious kitchen can be accessed from both the entrance hall and dining room and in keeping with the rest of the villa it is a spacious room. Modern and fully equipped, the kitchen appliances include the integrated oven and microwave; electric halogen hobs; dishwasher; refrigerator; coffee maker; juicer; kettle and toaster. The adjacent utility room houses the washing machine, iron & ironing board and two freezers.
The ground floor guest wing, accessed from the entrance wing, has two air-conditioned guest bedrooms (the blue room) has a double bed with a spacious fully tiled (in Portuguese style!) en-suite shower room with twin sinks. Further along the hallway, steps lead to a substantial (twin) bedroom suite with large en-suite shower room with double vanities and marble floors. Each bedroom suite has shaded private terraces leading on to the gardens. There is an additional guest cloakroom on this level.
Bedroom three is also on the ground floor and is accessed via the kitchen and utility area. This spacious bedroom has twin beds, split unit a/c and doors to a lovely private and shaded terrace. This bedroom utilizes the adjacent bathroom with shower unit and double vanities.
Going back to the entrance hall, the stairway leads up to the large two bedroom & one bathroom family suite. The master bedroom suite has a double bed and its own shaded private terrace with beautiful far reaching views across the Algarve coastline and the Atlantic ocean. The second interconnecting bedroom in the suite has three single beds, making this room ideal for children. Both bedrooms in the suite are air conditioned and utilize the en suite bathroom which has a bath and a separate shower unit.
Glazed patio doors lead from the kitchen onto the large shaded dining terrace with Algarvian style double grill charcoal BBQ and substantial granite table which can seat 10 in comfortable chairs to enjoy long leisurely lunches and supper. Subtle lighting creates great atmosphere for the evenings.
The swimming pool is free form in shape and measures approximately 15 metres x 6 metres and is surrounded by extensive terracing with sun beds and chairs on which to relax and enjoy the sun in secluded privacy. A stone dining table and seating for 10/12 people sits at one end of the pool and an abundance of fruit trees surround the poolside terrace including, lemon, lime, oranges, pomegranate, carob and with olive trees in abundance. The gardens are completely secure. There is plenty of space for parking on the villa forecourt and car port.
Casa Na Colina is located in beautiful hillside setting just north of Almancil and within a 20 minute drive of the prestigious golf resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. There are a few local restaurants in the area, and the location of the villa gives access to the whole of the southern coastline of Portugal with scores of golf courses and visitors attractions within easy driving distance -there are 11 first class/championship golf courses are within a 15/20 minute drive, and also tennis clubs, horse riding, go-karting and much more! The nearby town of Almancil has all of the facilities you need, including supermarkets, banks and chemists.
Quinta do Lago is the most exclusive area of the Algarve. Situated among championship golf courses and with a few minutes drive to a wide choice of beautiful beaches, many of the finest restaurants in the Algarve can be found here, along with the fashionable Quinta shopping centre.
Rates include a maid cleaning service 3 x per week, bathroom towels (changed midweek and weekly) and bedroom linen (changed on a weekly basis). Pool towels, a hairdryer and a safe are provided for your convenience.
A highchair and a travel cot with linen are provided free of charge upon prior request.
Prices quoted are per villa per week. Please note where your holiday dates cross multiple price bands the total holiday price is calculated per day per price band.
The rates quoted for 2020 bookings are based on 2019 rates and are subject to final confirmation around Oct / Nov 2019 when contracts are signed.
