Martinhal Resort

Martinhal Beach Resort and Hotel brings a 5 star luxury resort to the Western Algarve for the first time and has created a place where couples and families with children of all ages can relax with a sense of style. Situated in a stunning position overlooking Martinhal Beach and set within a protected national park, the resort is located in Sagres on the unspoiled Western Algarve – just over one hour from Faro International Airport. You can choose from luxury self-catering units in the Village, the Mimosa townhouses or the Martinhal luxury Villas with private pools.

The Martinhal Village houses comprise the Ocean houses with breath taking views over the sea and the Bay houses with uninterrupted views of the national park to the East and the ocean to the South. In the heart of the resort the Garden Houses are arranged around a natural garden, with a children's freeform 'Oasis' pool. Completing the development are 10 individual Pinewood houses which are set apart in their own close, each with their own small private heated swimming pool.

The 23 Villas Mimosa are luxury townhouses located on the Northwest side of Martinhal Beach Resort. All are independently owned and feature 2 or 3 large bedrooms and with a private garden and a parking space in front of the house. Their position affords impressive views across the resort, the Sagres peninsula and the Natural Park. There is an exclusive Clubhouse that services all the houses with a heated 18m pool, as well as a baby pool, both enclosed in a beautiful garden during the Summer months.

The Martinhal luxury villas have won some prestigious awards including the Homes Overseas Award for Best Portuguese Villa and Best Interior Design. An exclusive collection of independently owned and superbly-furnished villas with large gardens and private pools, located on the western margin of the resort. The range includes three, four and five bedroom villas featuring different layouts, views and interiors to suit every requirement.

A commitment to sustainability can be seen throughout the resort as the use of recycled and natural building materials is coupled with a low-rise design to ensure that the buildings blend effortlessly into the landscape. It is not only the architecture of the Martinhal Beach Resort and Hotel that produces an organic style but the natural timber, local cane, stone and recycled cork which is used in the interior furnishings also produces a warm, natural feel. The hotel itself relies on solar power and the restaurants are committed to featuring local and organic produce thus enhancing the overall eco-friendly finish of this beautiful and stylish resort.
