Out and About
When it comes to shopping in Puerto Calero it’s all about quality. With designer outlets such as Armani, Hugo Boss, Lacoste and DKNY lined up along the Paseo de la Moda, just behind the marina’s main waterfront, it’s obvious who the customer is here. For more local merchandise, make your way to the harbour-front for souvenir shops selling pottery, jewellery and art. There’s even a perfume store to stock up on all your duty-free favourites.
A glass of mojito, a comfy white sofa, and the sound of yachts lapping the water. Yes, evenings spent at Puerto Calero’s harbour really are quite enchanting. And a couple of places even pick up the pace as the evening evolves, with live music and quizzes, and a dancefloor or two!
If you’re in need of some beach action, you’re in luck. With the white-sand coves of Papagayo just a 15-minute drive away you’re not far from what is said to be the best beach on the island. Or you could walk to Playa Quemada, about a half hour’s leisurely stroll away.
