Villa Ambra is a charming, century old estate located in the area between Chianti Classico and the famous Crete Senese in the Region of Annezzo. The main house sleeps 18 persons and the separate annexe, a stylishly restored barn, sleeps a further 4 persons. (They are rented together as an 11 bedroom property) The stunning views were already appreciated by the Florentine noble family Medici, who owned this property in the 15th century. Rates are on a self catering basis.
At Villa Ambra you can enjoy a memorable vacation in a stylishly renovated and furnished property. The elegant interiors with colours, expensive fabrics and original antiques reveal the hallmarks of the owners, who are famous fabric producers.
There is quite a variety of facilities available for sports and nature fans: a riding school, woodland for walking and the estate also has its own production of red and sparkling wine. Thanks to the size, nearly 700 sqm, large families or groups of friends can spend a relaxing holiday without feeling restricted. You can laze by the private pool for some hours, spend your evening next to the open fireplace or meet on the patio for a delicious Tuscan meal. The property is complete with wi-fi internet connection.
The interior space of the main house is 545 sqm. The Ground floor has a very spacious living room with fireplace; television room with TV with satellite channels and DVD player; winter garden with huge dining table; fully equipped kitchen with appliances including 3 big refrigerators, washing machine, a dishwasher, coffee maker and toaster.
The main house can sleep 18 people, and the annexe, a stylishly restored barn adjacent to the villa sleeps a further 4 persons.
On the ground floor of the main house there is 1 twin bedroom and 3 double bedrooms with king size beds, all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers.
On the First floor of the main house there is a further 4 double bedrooms with king size beds and 1 twin bedroom, all with en-suite bathrooms with showers.
The annexe is rented only together with the villa, it has its own private garden patio, 2 bedrooms (1 with large king-size bed, 1 with queen-size bed), 2 en-suite bathrooms (one with shower, one with tub), a separate fully functional kitchen with dining area and a living room with fireplace.
Outside space comprises the patio, which has a covered porch with a big marble and iron table for dining al fresco and a fantastic built-in barbecue. The private swimming pool measures10m x 5 m and the garden is complete with a spacious solarium, sunbeds and garden furniture, and features far reaching views over the country side, wineries and the Chianti hills.
The Closest village is Ambra (2 km away) in the Province of Arezzo.

Rates include electricity, cooking gas, water, private use of swimming pool, linen and towel change for stays over 7 nights, final cleaning, wifi Internet.
Payable locally- Heating (if required), firewood, telephone, maid service- obligatory cleaning of 3 hours, 3 days per week (14 Euro per hour). The housekeeper of the villa will be happy to provide a foodpack for you upon arrival, the price will be the hourly cost of the maid to do the shopping, plus the receipt for the groceries. Please advise us of the list of groceries you would like to have when you arrive.
Catering can also be organised if required for a supplemental charge. There is a breakage deposit of 500€ payable on arrival which will be refunded before departure after final checks.
In addition to the stunning scenery and the tranquil, relaxing environment that the Tuscany region affords, there is also plenty to do with your family and friends! Practice your Italian cooking in the villa's well equipped kitchen, wine tastings in the fabulous vineyards, walking in the beautiful hills and countryside, swimming in your private pool, bicycle rides, tennis, golf, sightseeing visits to the beautiful local villages, and not forgetting trips to the magnificent cities of Florence and Siena, both of which are steeped in history and tradition.
One of the great holiday experiences when staying at a villa in Tuscany is to have a private dinner cooked for you by a professional Italian cook. It has to be said that Italian home cooking really is second to none, with the use of tasty seasonal and local ingredients and complimented by a glass of the fine local Chianti wines. You can book this additional service so that you can enjoy the fine evenings relaxing at your villa with your family and friends, enjoying the excellent food and the stunning scenery long into the Summer evenings.
The local district office in the Greve area has implemented a new 'Tourist Tax' of 1.50€ per day for a maximum of 4 days for all in party members over the age of 12 years of age, this will be payable locally to the owner.
For 2019 Bookings:-
The following items are payable locally: Heating €4.50/m3, Firewood, In villa dining €35 per person, obligatory cleaning of 3 hours, 3 days a week €15 per hour, catering, cook, first shopping fee of €20. Air conditioning €0.70 per kW, heating €0.70 per kW.
There is a Tourist tax of €6 per person per week, up to a maximum of 7 nights. Children up to 10 years excluded.
