The Gramacho Golf Course was originally a nine-hole course but after his success designing the Vale de Pinta course, Ronald Fream teamed up with the former world No. 1 Nick Price to extended and cleverly redesigned it to become a fully-fledged course.
With 18 holes and 27 greens, plus numerous different tee points, players are able to enjoy the same course time and time again but always with slightly different challenges. The course covers undulating terrain with olive, almond and carob trees - planted years ago by the local farmers - scattered around. With a mixture of these hazards and the combination of the shapes of the fairways and greens this golf course can produce a great selection of challenging but fair golf holes.
All four of the par 3s are daunting to say the least as none of them are under 190 yards tee to green. However the toughest would have to be the 10th where the tee shot is played to an island green. Risk/reward golf at its best.
