If you are looking for an abundance of loungers, restaurants, bars and water sports, along with natural beauty rather than densely concentrated development, this is the place for you.
Praia do Garrão, which is divided into two parts: Praia do Garrão Nascente (the eastern section) and Praia do Garrão Poente (the western section). In between there is a third small section called ‘Julia’s Beach’ after the person who was the first to rent out sun loungers and umbrellas here. West of Julia’s is the popular venue Maria’s that is beach restaurant by day and a restaurant by the beach by night.
In summer it gets busy, but even then, apart from in the sun lounger rental areas, no one needs to lie right next to anyone else unless they want to. In the zones with sun loungers to rent there are also pavilions offering massages. The loungers and sun umbrellas are rented out by the beach bars and restaurants. On Praia do Garrão Nascente especially there are lots of bars and restaurants right on the beach, close to the car park, so you have an enormous choice of places to eat and drink.
