Situated in a beautiful and tranquil countryside setting just 5 minutes from the charming village of Estoi and 20 minutes drive from the prestigious golf resort of Quinta do Lago, we are very proud to present Casa Sambada, a colonial style luxury 5 bedroom villa with swimming pool and 10,000 square metres of exotic gardens. The stunning location of this spacious and attractive holiday home offers an ever changing view of the Atlantic Ocean and of the twinkling lights of Faro at night. The nearest beaches are only 20 to 25 minutes drive away.

With wi-fi internet connection and air conditioning throughout, the villa is available for up to 10 people, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (3 en suite).

Living Areas

The villa is built all on one level and all rooms are tastefully decorated with a Moorish touch. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances including the oven; microwave; dishwasher; gas hobs; fridge freezer; toaster; coffee maker (Delonghi bean to cup espresso) and juicer. The utility room houses the washing machine, tumble dryer and iron & ironing board.

Casa Sambada has a lovely spacious and open plan living and dining room complete with air conditioning, a TV with international satellite channels and a Sonos sound system -where you just need to download the Sonos app to play your favourite music playlists from your tablet or smart phone. And to continue on the theme of the villa's entertainment treats, there is a separate games room with snooker table or there is a table tennis table- both ideal for those family holiday tournaments! Alternatively you can try your hand at the jeu-de-boules court (pétanque) for a fun game for young and old.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Casa Sambada offers 5 beautifully furnished double bedrooms; 3 with a double bed and 2 with two single beds.The main 3 Master bedrooms have their own luxury bathrooms and the 2 other bedrooms share a bathroom.

Master Double Bedroom one- The Blue Room. This stylish decorated bedroom is only a few steps away from the pool. It has a satellite TV, Air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. The spacious en-suite bathroom comes with a large bath, walk-in shower, bidet, toilet and double wash basins. In addition it offers a towel heater and mirror - and underfloor heating . The roomy bedroom closet includes a small safe.

Master Double Bedroom Two- The Yellow Room. Once again a luxurious bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom. Double doors opening directly to the pool terrace. Air conditioning, satellite TV and Wi-fi included. The bathroom has a spacious walk in shower, toilet and large wash basin. Towel heater, mirror and underfloor heating are standard benefits. The airy closet includes a small safe for your personal belongings.

Master Double Bedroom Three- The Turquoise Room. Beautifully decorated bedroom with annex large bathroom. Double doors opening to the 'morning' terrace. This bedroom is also fitted with satellite TV, Air conditioning and Wi-fi. The en-suite bathroom has a large walk-in shower, toilet and double wash basins. And of course towel heater, mirror -and underfloor heating. There is plenty of closet space, including a small safe.

Twin Bedroom One- The Green Room. A cozy double bedroom with two single beds in Portuguese style. The bathroom next door is shared with bedroom no. 5 (The Bunk bed room). And of course The Green Room has been fitted with Air conditioning and Wi-fi. The bathroom next door has a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin as well as a towel heater, mirror- and underfloor heating.

Twin Bedroom Two- The Bunk bed room. Although designed for the younger ones, the 200 x 90 cm beds can easily accommodate adults. The unique wooden staircase, leading to the upper bed, also functions as a closet, including drawers. This room has been fitted with Air conditioning and Wi-fi. The bathroom next door has a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin as well as towel heating, mirror- and underfloor heating.

Outside Space

Summer life will be centred around the veranda, which provides you with lots of shade whilst you overlook the pool terrace, sipping a cool drink or having lunch at the family sized table. perhaps enjoying a meal freshly cooked on the charcoal BBQ, The terrace also gives you beautiful far reaching views of the garden, the city of Faro and the coastline. The large 13 x 5 metre pool, with outdoor shower, will be centre stage during your holiday. During the peak summer months of July and August, this south facing pool soaks up the sun and regularly reaches daytime temperatures of between 26 and 29 degrees. Please note that due to the free form shape the pool is unfenced.

The poolside terrace is furnished with 8 sun loungers should you wish to soak up the sun or relax in the shade of the veranda. Diving goggles, pool floats and other swimming pool accessories are also on hand.

The luxury villa has a 10.000 square meter sub-tropical garden, filled with palm trees, bougainvilleas, many fruit trees and a large variety of colourful exotic plants, which have been lovingly nurtured for over 50 years.

Location

The plot is located just 10 minutes north of Faro in a semi-rural, tranquil and authentically Portuguese area with lots of privacy – only 5 minutes from the historic town of Estoi and only 15 minutes north of Faro Airport. Also just 5 kms distance from the town of Santa Barbara, where you will find a selection of restaurants, shops, bars, cafes, a supermarket and a chemist. A short driving distance away from here is the brand new Mar shopping complex which has a wide range of shops, restaurants, a designer outlet and a cinema- where the majority of films are shown in English.

The prestigious golf resort of Quinta do Lago can be reached within a 20 minute drive. Quinta do Lago is the most exclusive area of the Algarve and is situated amongst championship golf courses and is only a few minutes drive to a wide choice of beautiful beaches. Many of the finest restaurants in the Algarve can be found in the resort, as can the fashionable Quinta shopping centre.

Olhao & Tavira are 15-20 minutes away with islands & beaches, shops and typical Portuguese lifestyle & character. However, if you would like the more touristic places, it’s only 20 to 30 min to Vilamoura, Albufeira and their beaches. Lisbon is a 2 and a half hour drive away and should you wish to visit interesting cities in Spain (i.e. Seville), a 2 hour drive will take you there.

Other Items

The rates include a midweek towel change and clean; and the weekly linen change, towel change and changeover clean. Pool towels are provided for your convenience. A travel cot and a highchair are available free of charge upon prior request. Please note that the west wing of the villa is not available for rental and is private to the owners.

A basic welcome foodpack is provided free of charge which includes the necessary basics such as water, coffee and a bottle of wine!
