Overview
Sun-hat is proud to present Casa Serena, a lovely three bedroom villa with a private pool that is stylishly decorated and furnished throughout to a high standard. Ideally located North of Almancil in the beautiful and peaceful area of Vale Formoso, which is in the heart of the Algarve's Golden Triangle. Within close walking distance of the villa are some of the area's finest restaurants, and the town of Almancil is just a few minutes' drive away. The prestigious golfing resort of Quinta do Lago and the fashionable Quinta shopping centre are less than a ten minute drive away.
Air conditioning throughout and Wi-Fi internet are included in the rental rate.
Living Areas
The spacious kitchen, finished with marble countertops, is well equipped with everything you’ll need during your stay, including four electric hobs, an extractor fan, a Siemens Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, kettle, fridge freezer, and dishwasher. Just off the kitchen is the laundry room, which contains a combined washing machine/dryer along with an iron and an ironing board.
The open plan living and dining area is bright and airy, featuring a central fireplace and a large dining table with seating for six. The air conditioned lounge is generously sized and comfortably furnished with plenty of sofa seating, as well as a flat screen TV offering a selection of international channels. Several English books are available for your enjoyment. Patio doors open directly onto the poolside terrace and parking area, creating a lovely indoor–outdoor flow. There is also a guest cloakroom conveniently located near the front door.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
On the entrance level, you will find bedroom one, which is a double room with fitted wardrobes, split unit air conditioning, and an en suite full bathroom with a free-standing bathtub, a walk-in shower, double vanities, and a heated towel rail. Patio doors lead to the poolside.
Stairs lead down to bedrooms two and three. Bedroom two is a double room with fitted wardrobes, split unit air conditioning, and en suite shower room with a walk-in shower, double vanities, and a heated towel rail. Patio doors lead to the garden. Bedroom three is a double room with fitted wardrobes, split unit air conditioning, and a heated towel rail. Patio doors lead to the garden. There is also a sofa bed in this room, which can accommodate two children up to 12 years old.
Outside Space
The garden is partly laid to lawn and dotted with orange and lemon trees, creating a lovely, relaxing setting. A charming gazebo with two chairs offers a peaceful spot to unwind on warm, sunny days. The private pool measures approximately 10m x 4m and has steps for easy entry. (Pool heating is available for a weekly supplement).
For those who enjoy outdoor cooking, a gas BBQ is provided, and the large dining table seats up to eight—perfect for al fresco meals. There’s also additional seating with a sofa and chairs, ideal for settling in with a good book. The poolside terrace is furnished with six sun loungers and a parasol for when you’d like a bit of shade.
Location
Casa Serena is located in a beautiful hillside setting just north of Almancil and within a 20 minute drive of the prestigious golf resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. There is a good selection of quality restaurants within short driving distance of Casa Serena. The nearby towns of Almancil and the historic city of Loulé both have all the facilities that you'll need during your holiday, including supermarkets, chemists, shops, cafes, restaurants, and banks. The recently built Mar Shopping complex, featuring cinemas, a food hall, a designer outlet, and numerous shops, is also a ten minute drive away.
Quinta do Lago is the most exclusive area of the Algarve. Situated amongst championship golf courses and with a few minutes' drive to a wide choice of beautiful beaches, many of the finest restaurants in the Algarve can be found here, along with the fashionable Quinta shopping centre.
Other Items
Rates include a midweek maid service with towel change, plus a weekly clean with fresh towels and bed linen. Pool towels, a safe, and hairdryers are provided for your convenience.

Prices quoted are per villa per week. Please note where your holiday dates cross multiple price bands the total holiday price is calculated per day per price band.
The rates quoted for 2026 bookings are based on 2025 rates and are subject to final confirmation around Oct / Nov 2025 (but could be later) when contracts are signed.
There is a local tourist tax for all visitors to Almancil.

Applies To
Persons 16 years and over for the first 5 nights.
This tax is payable by the visitor, however it is collected by Sun-hat Villas & Resorts with the final accommodation balance and passed by our local agents to the local authorities.

For a vegetarian option we will replace the ham with an additional pack of cheese.
