Overview

Amendoeira Golf Resort is an award winning resort offering a mix of high specification two bedroom modern apartments, two bedroom apartments with mezzanines, and three, four and five bedroom villas. All properties have exceptional interior design, excellent facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartments are complemented by communal swimming pools and children’s pools and all villas have a private pool.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a resort with multiple properties, the photography here shows an example of one or more properties and your actual property will be allocated by reception on arrival.

There are two acclaimed championship golf courses: the Oceânico Faldo Course and Oceânico O’Connor Jnr. course, and the magnificent Amendoeira Clubhouse with restaurant & bar. For state-of-the-art practice facilities there is the Oceânico Academy 9 hole, par 3 floodlit course and the Amendoeira Golf Academy & Fitting Suite.

The Amendoeira Sports Club offers professional team training in addition to recreational sports: football, tennis, Children's adventure playground, games room and a gymnasium.

Amendoeira Golf Resort comprises a magnificent range of luxury properties, designed with a Moorish theme to reflect local influences. The stunning and original architecture features graceful arches, cool tiled courtyards and extensive terraces. All properties enjoy an elevated hillside setting offering magnificent views across the golf courses and countryside.

The accommodation is of a high specification and includes satellite TV, DVD player, air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen. Each property is fully furnished with a simple, elegant room decoration. 2 sofas, coffee table, radio. Dining table with 6 chairs. Balcony with outdoor furniture.

Fully equipped kitchens with Cooker, Fridge, Dishwasher, Washing machine, Freezer, Microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, pots & pans, cutlery, iron/ironing board.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

- Bedroom One with 1 Double bed or 2 Twin beds (zippable). Ensuite bathroom with Toilet, Bidet, Bath with Shower.

- Bedroom Two with 2 Twin beds (zippable). Bathroom with Toilet, Bidet, Bath with Shower.

Outside Space

All villas have their own private garden and swimming pool.

Transport within the resort is available free of charge. During July & August, a complimentary off-site shuttle bus operates to the local town and beach. Transport is subject to availability.

Amendoeira Golf Resort is home to two stunning championship golf courses, both designed by legendary names in golf - Sir Nick Faldo and Christy O'Connor Jnr. Each course is of contrasting design and will offer a challenge to both professional and amateur golfers. The Oceanico Faldo Course has been designed with strategic play in mind and demands careful positioning to score well; rocky outcrops, meandering watercourses and views to the distant mountains and orange groves define its essential character. The Oceanico O'Connor Jnr. course perfectly complements the Faldo course whilst taking advantage of the rich valley soil in contrast to the arid hillside. It is a course which offers no less of a challenge: large areas of water demand accurate play and creative shot making with the lakes and streams being maintained as a wildlife sanctuary.

Kidz Club- The club is based at the Amendoeira Sports Club and is open for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old. The kids will enjoy team sports, games and arts & crafts. The club is run by our enthusiastic experienced team who will keep your kids happy. Children can stay for the whole day (from 10am to 5pm) or for just a half day, with or without lunch. Water and plain biscuits are provided during the day.

The club runs from mid July - end of August Monday to Friday. The club is free of charge not including lunches and there is a one off insurance fee of €5 to paid upon enrolment...

The Amendoeira Golf Academy & Fitting Suite offers a wide variety of training programmes to meet the needs of men, women, and juniors. These programmes cater for every standard of golfer from beginner to amateur, competitor to touring professional. To complement the sophisticated hi-tech video and computer analysis, Amendoeira Golf Academy offers a range of outdoor practice facilities:

• Oceânico Academy 9 hole, par 3 course (floodlit for evening use for groups)

• Practice chipping and putting areas

• Tuition programmes for every standard

• Fitting Suite

The Amendoeira Clubhouse comprises a Pro Shop, luxurious changing facilities for men and women and a restaurant and bar. The Pro Shop carries a range of golfing equipment and clothing for purchase and houses the golf reception area. It also stocks a number of convenience items such as drinks, snacks, food items, nappies and toiletries. The changing facilites are tastefully decorated and each boast a spacious lounge area in addition to lockers and showers. The restaurant is a large open plan room serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from an à la carte menu. The lounge area comprises sofas, armchairs and large coffee tables and the adjoining restaurant can seat up to 60 people. The outer terrace also provides seating and magnificent views of the Oceânico Faldo Course and the Oceânico O’Connor Jnr. course. Total capacity of up to 250 people, inside and outside.

The Amendoeira Sports Club is set within a secluded area of the resort and offers a full range of sport and fitness facilities all finished to the highest specification to meet professional standards:

• Six Savannah tennis courts

• Full size natural grass pitch for football/Gaelic football professional team training

• Two Astroturf five-a-side football pitches to FIFA standards

• Gymnasium

• Jogging path

• Games Room

• Sports Bar serving drinks and snacks in the summer, the Sports Bar hosts a regular barbeque and 9 hole golf competition.

• Male and Female changing rooms, showers and lockers

When professional sports teams are training at the Amendoeira Sports Club, the gymnaisum may not be available to other guests at certain times during the day.

Location

The Amendoeira Golf Resort is located in the central Algarve, just a 10 minute drive from the town of Guia, where the Zoomarine aquatic park, Algarve shopping centre and a large selection of traditional and chicken piri-piri restaurants are all located.

Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the luxury apartments and villas are set within extensive landscaped gardens with the Monchique mountains and the Amendoeira golf courses forming a stunning backdrop. The town of Silves, steeped in history with its beautiful castle and city walls is nearby, and it is only 35 minutes drive to Faro airport.

The nearest beach resort is Armacao de Pera, which is just a 7kms drive away.

Other Items

Prices include maid service and towel change twice a week with bed linen changed weekly. Prices also include free use of the Amendoeira Sports Club facilities: gymnasium, tennis courts and 5-a-side football pitches.

Guests are also eligible for discounts on golf rounds at Amendoeira Golf Resort in Alcantarilha, and preferential rates at Oceânico’s five golf courses in Vilamoura.

Check-in from 4pm and check-out by 10am.

At check-in, guests will be requested to leave a security deposit of €250 to cover any damage to the property during their stay. This can be taken on credit card.
