Set in beautiful, landscaped grounds, Villa Michelle is one of the finest villas available for holiday rental in Quinta do Lago, the Algarve's premier resort. Designed by one of Portugal's leading classical architects, it has a built area of 695 square metres, on three floors, which is considerably larger than average, on a site of 2000 square metres. With electric entrance gates, full air-conditioning cooling & heating and a large, heated swimming pool, it is equipped and furnished to the highest standard.

This is a genuine five-star property, immaculately maintained and professionally managed, in one of Europe's very special destinations and it is rare for a property of this quality to be offered for rental.

Living Areas

The huge entrance hall with a two-storey high ceiling gives Villa Michelle that essential "wow" factor as soon as you open the door. The large, elegant, lounge has patio doors which lead out to the pool terrace. It is beautifully furnished with oak flooring, classical sofas and armchairs and a stone and marble fireplace.

The beautiful formal dining room off the hall has a large table and chairs for up to 10 persons, its own fireplace and built in display cabinet.

The adjacent library, which has a large selection of holiday reading, also serves as an entertainment centre with a modern media unit containing a large ultra HD Smart TV, with 200 channel cable TV including all the main BBC, Sky, TNT sports and ITV channels. Streaming services such as Netflix, Prime and YouTube are available on the TV using your own subscriptions. Smart TV’s are also provided in each bedroom and the kitchen

Hi speed broadband (500mps) is available with strong Wi-Fi signals throughout the property and reaching into the garden, so you can access the internet from the sun loungers on the terrace.

The designer German made kitchen includes an island unit with wine rack and a breakfast area with a circular table seating 6. It is fully equipped with appliances including a larder fridge, dishwasher, butler sink, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, Magimix mixer, juicer, toaster, Icemaker, and stainless-steel range cooker. There is a second American style fridge freezer off the kitchen and a third drinks fridge in the basement. Also in the kitchen is TV with the cable channels and a speaker dock.

There is a fully fitted laundry room in the basement with washing machine and tumble dryer plus a table tennis table- perfect for those family holiday tournaments!

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The villa has four bedrooms, all approximately the same size, one on the ground floor and three on the first floor each with double built in wardrobes and its own en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Each bedroom, which is fully air-conditioned, has a dressing table and a flat screen smart TV, and those bedrooms on the first floor have access to their own balcony. All have twin beds, except the master bedroom which boasts a four-poster double bed. Twin bed measurements are 2.00 metres x 0.95 metres. Double bed measurement is 2.00 metres x 1.60 metres. One of the twin bedrooms on the first floor can also be prepared as a double bed upon prior request and with confirmation from the owner. Laundry baskets and hair dryers are provided in each bedroom and there is a safe in the master bedroom. There is an additional separate toilet and shower room on the ground floor for visitors.

Outside Space

Sunbathing and al fresco dining are essential elements of your Villa Michelle holiday. The pool (12 x 6 metres in size) in the beautifully landscaped garden is surrounded by a large, sunny terrace with 8 top quality rattan sun loungers, comfortable cushions and large sunshades. The pool, which can be heated at a supplementary cost, has an electrically operated pool cover to retain the heat overnight. Pool lighting is available for the evenings.

The Beefeater gas barbecue and the outside dining terrace, with a table for 8, beneath an electric shaded pergola, are both next to the pool. On a covered terrace outside the lounge, with an electric awning providing extra shade, are two sofas and two armchairs which seat 8 persons.

The large first floor terrace outside the master bedroom has 4 more cushioned metal sun loungers, a large sunshade and a bar. A spiral staircase from the first-floor terrace leads to a roof terrace, which has 360-degree views of the sea and mountains.

Location

The villa is located in the Parque Atlantico area of Quinta do Lago, widely regarded as the most prestigious sector of this luxury resort as it is closest to the sea and has some of the finest properties. It is situated in a large, landscaped garden accessed through electric entrance gates. The Ria Formosa estuary and nature reserve is only 250 metres away and you can walk from there along the nature trail to the famous bridge over the estuary which leads to the miles of unspoiled sandy beach. The San Lorenzo golf course and club house is close by and there are numerous nature walks and cycle trails for you to enjoy.

The main windsurfing lake with the water-sports centre plus the popular Casa do Lago and Shack restaurants are also within walking distance.

Other Items

Maid service is provided 5 days per week plus a departure clean on the day of your departure. The daily maid service excludes public holidays. Linen change Tuesday and Friday except the Friday before your departure day.

Villa Michelle provides hotel style bathroom service with a selection of good quality soap, shampoo, shower gel, body lotion and boxed tissues.

Also included in the villa rates is the air conditioning throughout; gas barbecue; pool towels; weekly garden and twice weekly pool maintenance; local telephone calls; alarm system monitored by Vigiquinta and the Quinta do Lago on site security and emergency medical support 24/7.

Please note that the check-in time for Villa Michelle is 2pm - 2 hours earlier than the standard check-in time of 4pm! Departure time is 10am. Changeover day June-September is Saturdays. Outside of these months there can be some flexibility with the arrival day.
