Just one street back from the Marina lies Cool Cod Cocktail Bar, a little hidden treasure where you will always find a nice table and some amazing restaurants close by. Small but perfectly formed Cool Cod is an intimate bar with friendly staff. The mood is fun with a Happy Hour every night, but even if you don’t make it in time the drinks are very reasonably priced, especially compared to the bars on the Marina.
As you would expect Cool Cod has a large selection of local and international beers and wines plus they pour a surprisingly good pint of Guinness. However as their name suggests cocktails is where Cool Cod really shines. Their extensive menu of handmade cocktails are made with a great deal of panache. The bar staff really entertain and make a bit of a show of their cocktail making skills.
Despite the emphasis on the drinks Cool Cod Cocktail Bar is family friendly serving mocktails for kids and teetotal adults on request. Nothing is too much trouble, you can even order food from Rui’s Carvery next door and they’ll let you eat in the bar.
