Located just off the Marina The Punter is a fine addition to Vilamoura. Flaunting its Irish pub credentials the bar was more or less shipped from Ireland to Portugal and then mounted in the Algarve. Packed with lots of memorabilia from old Dublin bars it has a welcoming touch from the moment you set foot inside the door.
Aside from the usual lagers, wines and cocktails you can also find champagne, Kilkenny Stout, Strongbow cider and familiar brands. The Guinness served here is imported directly from Ireland, straight from the brewery to your glass.
There are street side tables where you can enjoy a laid back pint, plenty of screens in the bar showing Sky Sports and BBC, and a backroom with live music every night with the resident band and the occasionally guest band.
All in all The Punter is a cracking little bar with cheap beer, free wifi and friendly chatty staff.
