Situated at the bottom of a steep hill in front of the resort village of Oura, is one of Albufeira's best beaches. A long wide number that’s lapped by azure waters this long sweep of golden sand is backed by a promenade lined with cafes, bars and some nice restaurants. The central section is very popular in the summer but the eastern end of the beach, also known as the Praia dos Bicos, is quieter and has fewer facilities.

Plenty of entertainment awaits in the water, where you can sit on a floating sofa and be pulled across the Atlantic waves. The choppy seas on windy days are great for wave jumping and there is a lifeguard on hand to keep an eye on everyone. There is also a banana boat doing the rounds just off shore too throwing people into the sea.

For the party animals among you in the evenings some of the bars transform into clubs and you can dance till you drop.
