Overview

Exclusive to Sun-hat is Villa Lusitania, a stunning four bedroom, four bathroom villa with private pool and underfloor heating throughout (extra weekly supplement). Sitting on the hillside of Goldra, enjoying fantastic views of the Algarve countryside with its sweeping hills on one side and far reaching ocean views on the other, this villa is truly spectacular, and yet it is only a short drive to some of the Algarve's finest golf courses and beaches.

Villa Lusitania was completely renovated last year and is the perfect family getaway for those who prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal areas, with internet and air conditioning in the bedrooms included in the rental rate.

Living Areas

The bright open plan lounge and dining room has a domed ceiling and is complete with ample comfy sofa seating, a log burning fire, a ceiling fan, a flat screen Smart TV showing international cable channels (including some English language channels) & Netflix (please bring your own login credentials) and a large dining table with seating for six people. Double patio doors open onto a balcony overlooking the garden and pool area and there are steps leading down to these areas. There is a guest cloakroom next to the kitchen.

The kitchen is open to the lounge/dining area and is modern and well equipped, has a central island and appliances including a large fridge and a separate large freezer, electric oven and grill, microwave with a grill, dishwasher, four electric induction hobs, toaster, kettle, juicer, peculator and Nespresso coffee machine. Near the front door is the utility area with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

Bedroom four is a full bedroom suite but can serve as a self contained apartment if required. This suite includes a kitchen with split unit air conditioning and appliances including a washing machine, electric oven and grill, two electric induction hobs, fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle and a microwave. Through to the double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and a wall mounted smart flat screen TV showing international cable channels (including some English language channels) & Netflix (bring your own login credentials) and an en suite shower room with walk-in shower. There is a small outside area with a table and two chairs, where there are also steps up to the roof terrace with furniture and spectacular views over to Faro and the coast.

Outside Space

The pool measures approximately 12m x 5m, with the shallow end measuring 1.20 metres and the deep end is 1.80 metres and has steps for convenient entry. The pool is totally fenced with a self-closing gate which is great for families with young children. The sunbathing terraced area is complete with nine quality sun loungers so you can soak up the Algarve sunshine, a covered seating area next to the pool with bench seating and a table, an elevated terrace with sofas and chairs, and four parasols. The garden is well maintained with different sun bathing and seating areas scattered around, with a hammock and swing seat in the trees sectioned off with small pathways. There is a children's play area in the garden and a table tennis table for the competitive guests

Off the lounge is a large shared balcony with a large dining table and seating for eight persons and an electric grill plate for al-fresco dining.

Location

Villa Lusitania is located in Goldra, which is delightfully situated in an elevated location and enjoys spectacular and unobstructed views towards Faro, Quinta do Lago, Loule and beyond! One can see (and not hear!) the airplanes take off and land. You are just a few minutes’ drive from Loule, a charming inland ancient market town which was once a Roman settlement. The remains of a ruined castle can still be seen in the old quarter. An indoor market is held here 6 days a week and is excellent for fish, fruit and vegetables. Faro airport is within a 25 minute drive.

Rates include a midweek maid cleaning service and bathroom towel change; and a weekly changeover maid cleaning service, bathroom towels and bed linen change. Pool towels and a hairdryer are provided for your convenience. Complimentary small bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided on arrival.
