Praia da Galé Leste starts where the dune landscape, which stretches around the rest of the bay, ends. Characterised by rocky outcrops and sheltered coves, rock formations provide shade in addition to the numerous shaded loungers that are available to hire. There are fewer visitor at the back of the beach which means you should always be able to find an intimate bay.
Praia da Galé Leste has excellent infrastructure including showers and lifeguards and the beach is wheelchair accessible. The bathing conditions are good and plenty of water sports are on offer thanks to a well-equipped operator. There is also a surf school, which is in great demand, especially in the winter. Three restaurants on the beach provide sustenance. The sunset, which is particularly beautiful here, is a fitting end to an all-round good day on the beach.
