Ideally positioned in a sought-after south facing location, Villa Sand Dunes enjoys uninterrupted views across the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve towards the Atlantic coastline. The setting combines natural beauty with superb views. Ancão Beach is within easy walking distance, as are some of the Algarve’s finest beachfront restaurants, including 2 Passos and The Bold Octopus. The wooden boardwalk leading to Garrão Beach is also just a short stroll away.
Fibre optic Wi-Fi internet, Sonos and centralised ducted air conditioning throughout, with individual room controls, are included in the rental rates. All the windows are protected by mosquito nets. The bedrooms feature linen curtains and blackout blinds.
Step into the welcoming entrance hall, finished with elegant stone flooring and featuring a discreet honesty bar cleverly concealed behind a wooden panel. Complete with a wine cooler, fridge and cigar humidor, it’s a thoughtful touch for guests to enjoy (we kindly ask that any bottles consumed are replaced prior to departure). A guest cloakroom is also conveniently located off the hallway.
The inviting lounge is designed around a striking oval glass feature, offering uninterrupted views towards the coast. Triple patio doors open directly onto the upper terrace. The room is comfortably furnished with generous sofa and armchair seating, making it an ideal space to relax at any time of year.
From the lounge, glass doors open onto a spacious covered terrace featuring a retractable roof and sliding patio doors leading to the upper terrace, where you can enjoy views towards the sea. Beautifully furnished with comfortable sofas and a large dining table seating ten guests, this versatile space is ideal for both relaxed evenings and entertaining. For cooler nights, ceiling heaters and a gas fireplace provide added warmth.
A wall-mounted Smart TV offers a range of English language channels, including BBC, ITV, Sky Sports and TNT Sports. Guests are welcome to access streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime using their own log-in details. A gas BBQ is also provided for those who enjoy cooking outdoors.
Glass doors lead through to the contemporary kitchen, designed by Keith Alexander and fully equipped with everything required for a comfortable stay. Appliances include an Ilve range cooker with eight hobs, extractor fan an electric oven, a large integrated Siemens fridge, Smeg microwave and dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and toaster. A breakfast table with seating and a wall mounted TV complete the space, while triple patio doors provide direct access to the covered terrace. Adjacent to the kitchen is a well appointed pantry featuring a second Smeg electric oven, Smeg fridge and freezer, an Alessi juicer and blender, a Kenwood mixer and a Bimbi.
Close to the entrance hall, the utility room houses two Bosch washing machines, a Bosch tumble dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board. A cosy TV snug provides the perfect retreat, featuring a large wall mounted flat screen television, comfortable sofa seating and a gas fireplace, it’s an inviting space to unwind in complete comfort.
On the lower level of the villa, along the bedroom hallway, you will find a small and convenient kitchenette. Thoughtfully equipped with a dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge freezer, it is perfect for preparing drinks and light refreshments without heading upstairs.
All five bedrooms feature wooden flooring and three of the principal rooms enjoy beautiful sea views. Each bedroom has been thoughtfully designed to offer comfort, privacy and easy access to the outdoor spaces.
The main bedroom suite is set on the entrance level and offers a generous double bed measuring 2m x 2m. It includes blackout blinds, a dedicated dressing area and a stylish en suite bathroom with a walk in shower, free standing bath, double vanity units, separate toilet and electric towel rail. Patio doors open directly onto the upper terrace, where an electric awning provides shade and the sea views create a wonderful setting.
The four remaining bedrooms are located on the pool level below. Bedroom two offers a king size bed measuring 1.80m x 2m, fitted wardrobes and a wall mounted Smart TV with the same channel package as the main living area. It also benefits from an en suite shower room with a heated towel rail. Patio doors open straight onto the pool terrace.
Bedroom three is a twin room with beds measuring 0.90m x 2m, which can be arranged as a double upon prior request, and features fitted wardrobes, a wall mounted Smart TV and an en suite shower room with a heated towel rail. Patio doors also lead directly to the pool terrace. A connecting door links this room to bedroom four, making it a perfect arrangement for families.
Bedroom four is well suited to one child or two young children of the parents or perhaps a nanny and offers a double bed measuring 1.60m x 2m, split unit air conditioning and a chest of drawers. The shared en suite shower room connects both bedrooms.
Bedroom five provides a king size bed measuring 1.80m x 2m, a separate dressing room and a spacious en suite bathroom with a walk in shower, free standing bath and heated towel rail. Patio doors open onto the pool terrace.
The front of the property offers a beautiful Mediterranean garden. At the rear of the property you will find the main garden & pool which measures approximately 12m x 5m and can be heated for a weekly supplement and has an electric pool cover to help retain the heat in the evenings. The poolside terrace features good quality sun beds and there are several spaces to relax including on the hammock. The outside pool kitchen includes a gas barbecue, ideal for the budding chefs in the group.
This beautiful property is South facing and located within easy walking distance of the beautiful Ancao beach and some of the Algarve’s finest beachfront restaurants, including 2 Passos and The Bold Octopus. Quinta do Lago, one of the most exclusive areas of the Algarve, and perfect for both golfing and family holidays. Situated amongst championship golf courses and only a few minutes' drive to a wide choice of beautiful beaches are many other facilities, such as horse riding, wind surfing, and sailing. Many of the finest restaurants in the Algarve are on your doorstep, as is the fashionable Quinta shopping centre and Bougainvillea Plaza where you will find boutique shops, restaurants, bars, banks, and a supermarket.
Vale do Lobo's club house is where you will find the excellent Spikes bar and restaurant; shops and a spa. There are two excellent golf courses in the resort, the Ocean and Royal courses; and for nightlife and dining out the lively Praca has a selection of bars & restaurants and entertainment during the summer months. Vale do Lobo's tennis centre features eight hard courts (four of them floodlit) and four floodlit artificial clay courts. It’s also home to eight floodlit padel courts, a swimming pool, a gym, a pro shop and a bar and restaurant.
Rates include a daily maid cleaning service (Monday to Friday) with a mid-week bathroom towel change and weekly bathroom towel & bed linen change. Pool towels, hairdryers, and a safe are provided for your convenience.
There is a local tourist tax for all visitors to Quinta do Lago.

This tax is payable by the visitor, however it is collected by Sun-hat Villas & Resorts with the final accommodation balance and passed by our local agents to the local authorities.
