"Where we'd love to stay" - the Beach House, Vale do Lobo

As part of our "Where We'd Love to Stay" series, we asked our team to share the villa they'd most love to escape to this summer.

Marketing Manager Alex McGuire explains why The Beach Villa in Vale do Lobo would be her perfect choice...

"I love finding exceptional value, so the current 20% saving on this incredible villa immediately caught my attention. But honestly, that's just the beginning - there are so many reasons I'd choose to stay here.

My children, who are 11 and 16, would absolutely love it. With the beach quite literally on your doorstep, Teddy would spend every spare minute trying out the watersports, while Gracie - who's happiest with a good book during the day and loves being out and about in the evenings - would be perfectly content relaxing by the beautiful pool before heading down to the Praça. With its wonderful cafés, restaurants and bars, it's the ideal place for dinner and a little people-watching as the sun goes down.

For me, holidays are all about feeling inspired, and this villa does exactly that. I was lucky enough to visit The Beach Villa in November, just as its extensive renovation was being completed, and I can honestly say I felt relaxed the moment I walked through the door. The soft, muted colour palette, natural textures and beautifully curated interiors create such a calming atmosphere. In fact, I went home determined to redecorate!

As for my husband, who's a keen tennis player, he'd be equally sold. Being able to stroll to the Vale do Lobo Tennis Club for a morning game, stop for a coffee on the way back, then spend the afternoon unwinding by the pool would make this his dream holiday too."
