Located between Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago, Vila Sol has been designed and laid out in sympathy with the natural environment, keeping changes to the undulating terrain to a minimum. The course is divided into three circuits of nine holes, Prime, Challenge, and Prestige. The result is a picturesque 27-hole course with loops leading you through pine, oak, almond and fig trees.
The Vila Sol course is probably not as well-known as the handful of courses that surround Vilamoura, but this certainly is not down to any lack of quality. The fairways are always beautifully maintained and manicured and the many sand and water hazards are expertly placed to punish poorly thought out shots. The key to scoring is course management.
