Discover why this hilltop property would be Managing Director Richard's ideal holiday villa

In the second instalment of our "Where We'd Love to Stay" series, Managing Director Rich shares why Casa Colmo in Carvoeiro would be his family's perfect holiday escape.

"As an active family, we love to make the most of every day when we're away, and with its spectacular coastline, scenic walking trails and endless opportunities for adventure, Carvoeiro is the perfect destination for us.

For me, Casa Colmo couldn't be better positioned. I'm a keen runner and swimmer, so I can already picture starting each morning with a gentle run down to Praia Grande before diving into the refreshing Atlantic for a swim. There's no better way to begin the day. My wife loves yoga, and I know she'd be out on the pool terrace each morning, soaking up the breathtaking views while enjoying a peaceful practice.

One of our absolute favourite experiences in Carvoeiro is taking a boat trip to the Benagil Caves. We've been lucky enough to spot dolphins, kayak through the caves and swim in some of the most beautiful waters in the Algarve. Every visit leaves me amazed by what nature has created – it's somewhere we return to time and time again.

One of the things we love most about staying in a villa is the space it gives everyone to truly relax. Casa Colmo is perfect for that. Our son could bring his girlfriend, everyone would have plenty of room to enjoy their own time, and then we'd come together for long, relaxed meals and evenings by the pool. That's exactly what a family holiday should be."
