Overview
Sun-hat is very proud to present the stunning Casa Carpe Diem, a traditionally styled luxurious Portuguese three bedroom villa with a separate exterior fourth annexe bedroom, private heated pool & gardens. Recently renovated to a high standard while thoughtfully retaining its rustic country charm, this beautiful property offers the best of both worlds. Conveniently located just north of Almancil in the Vale Formoso valley, it enjoys picturesque countryside scenery along with far reaching coastal views. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi internet are included in the rental rates.
Living Areas
The living areas of this classy villa have been carefully and lovingly furnished. The comfortable lounge features a sofa and armchairs, as well as a wall mounted flat screen Smart TV showing a wide selection of English-speaking channels, including BBC, ITV, Sky Sports, and TNT Sports. (Please bring your own login details to access streaming services such as Netflix or Amazon Prime.) There is also a separate portable Sonos speaker to use by the pool.
The modern kitchen features beautiful top of the range stone worktops and has a rustic feel, equipped with all the appliances you'll need during your stay, including a range cooker, five electric hobs & a double electric oven, an extractor, American-style fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, juicer, blender, and a Miele dishwasher. Off the kitchen, you will find the utility area, which houses the washing machine, iron, and ironing board. For interior dining, a large wooden table accommodates eight chairs. Large patio doors open onto the upper terrace, offering fantastic views of the countryside. There is a guest cloakroom near the front door.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Stairs lead up to the bedrooms. Bedroom one is a double room with fitted wardrobes, split unit air conditioning, and an en suite bathroom with a free-standing bathtub. Bedroom two is also a double room with fitted wardrobes, split unit air conditioning, and has use of the adjacent shower room. Bedroom three is a double room with fitted wardrobes, split unit air conditioning, and an en suite shower room.
Bedroom four is found in the separate annex. This is a double room with fitted wardrobes, split unit air conditioning, and an en suite shower room. Patio doors lead to the gardens.
Outside Space
From the living area, patio doors lead to the shaded upper terrace, which features a large wooden dining table that seats ten people, and a relaxing seating area furnished with an outdoor sofa and chairs, ideal for relaxing with a good book or simply taking in the stunning views. For the budding chefs in the group, there are both gas & a built-in charcoal BBQs, perfect for creating all your al-fresco holiday meals.
From the upper terrace, a few steps lead down to the pool, which measures approximately 12m x 5m and features steps for easy entry. The pool can be heated for a weekly supplemental charge and there is an electric cover however this cover is not used in July and August due to the high temperatures that the water would reach if it was in use. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off before or after your swim. The poolside terrace is furnished with good quality sun loungers, and two parasols are provided to offer extra shade. There is also a table tennis table, ideal for some fun family tournaments.
Location
Conveniently located within a ten minute drive of the prestigious resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, allowing your holiday to be as peaceful or action-packed as you wish. The nearby towns of Almancil and the historic city of Loulé both have all the facilities that you'll need during your holiday, including supermarkets, chemists, shops, cafes, restaurants, and banks. The recently built Mar Shopping complex with cinemas, a food hall, a designer outlet, and numerous shops is also a ten minute drive away.
Other Items
Rates include a midweek maid service with towel change, plus a weekly clean with fresh towels and bed linen. Pool towels, hairdryers, and a safe are provided for your convenience.
Due to the design of the villa interiors, the owners do not accept any children under 8 years old.

There is a local tourist tax for all visitors to Vale do Lobo.

(EUR1.00 in low season, 01 Nov - 31 Mar)
Applies To
Persons 16 years and over for the first 5 nights.
This tax is payable by the visitor, however it is collected by Sun-hat Villas & Resorts with the final accommodation balance and passed by our local agents to the local authorities.

1 loaf sliced bread, 250g butter, 1 litre semi-skimmed milk, 1 bottle white wine, 1 carton orange juice, 10 tea bags, 10 sachets of coffee, 2 x 1,5 litres water, 1 bottle lemonade, 25 sachets sugar, 250g ham, 250g sliced cheese, 4 pieces seasonal fruit, 4 tomatoes, 6 eggs 1 large pack of crisps, 1 x jar of jam and 1 packet of biscuits. For a vegetarian option we will replace the ham with an additional pack of cheese.
